Sherry Hoback, TFHC President, Nurse & CEO

Sherry Hoback leads Tampa Family Health Centers, Florida’s largest Federally Qualified Health Centers, where more than 140,000 patients each year receive accessible, high quality, patient centered care. A registered nurse and visionary leader, she has transformed TFHC into a statewide model for innovative, integrated, and compassion driven community health. Her leadership has launched pioneering programs including the Tampa Family Infusion Center, mobile health units, and one of only two community based pediatric residencies in the nation. She has expanded access through community gardens, food pantry programs, digital innovation, and initiatives that address health disparities. Sherry also serves on multiple state and national boards, shaping systems level solutions that strengthen health centers nationwide. Grounded in purpose and powered by innovation, she continues to redefine what it means to deliver Healthcare As It Should Be.

Ashley McPhie, MD

Dr. Ashley McPhie is a pediatrician and TFHC's Chief Medical Informatics Officer. She earned an undergraduate degree at Xavier University of Louisiana, completed medical training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and a pediatric residency at the University of Florida. Since joining TFHC in 2014, she has emerged as a physician leader who bridges clinical care and innovation. She leads initiatives that harness data, informatics, quality measures, and cross disciplinary collaboration to ensure children and families receive care that is both compassionate and efficient. Dr. McPhie serves on the Board of Healthy Start, is vice chair of the Hillsborough County Advisory Board Medical Subcommittee and the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Institute for Graduate Medical Education Consortium, and is a member of the Black Infant and Maternal Mortality Task Force. She has received the 2025 Betsey K. Cooke Member Center MVP Award, 2024 Business Woman of the Year, and 2022 40 Under 40 honors.
